Compassion is understanding the troubles of others, coupled with an urgent need to help.

My name is Richard Coffie, a beneficiary of the good and amazing work of the AJ Hope Foundation. As a young boy who grew up without any hope of making it in this life have by the grace of being able to reach a milestone in this life through the consistent support from the BASCO Orphanage where I grew up and the inspiration, motivation and material support that came to me through the AJ Hope Foundation. The AJ Hope Foundation has played a vital role in nurturing me to become a more responsible young man in this life. The AJ Hope Foundation has made me understand, one thing about this life that, no matter how small your beginning will be, the most important thing is never to allow the past to hold you back. There is a saying that, a river that does not recognise it source dries up easily. Which is why I will always remain thankful and appreciative to the AJ Hope Foundation for the many support they have given me both spiritual and physical to reach this point in my life where I can say that, by the grace of God life is better for me. To God alone be the glory for great things He has done for me through the AJ Hope Foundation.

My testimony of how I entered into the Nursing Training College and graduated to become a professional Registered General Nurse. I was hopeless and helpless after my Senior High School in the year 2016 not knowing where help will come from for me to continue with my tertiary education whiles in the Orphanage home serving as the administrator of the school (Basco). We received a call from the AJ hope foundation that, they were coming to visit the home and that was my turning point. I met Mama Margaret Asemnor the founder of the AJ Hope Foundation. She interrogated me for sometime and after the conversation, my story touched her heart and she said ,"I have taken you as my daughter and I will sponsor your tertiary education". I was so carried away when I heard Mama Margaret say she will sponsor my education. In 2018, by the divine help of God , I had admission into the Nursing Training College which is a three years course and my education was sponsored by AJ Hope Foundation. I want to say my profound gratitude.
