At AJ Hope Foundation, we don’t want to create people who are forever dependent on aid. It is our goal to educate and empower people to be self-sufficient and lift them from a physical and mental state of poverty and reliance. This is why we don’t just raise funds to feed our beneficiaries, but put them in school and skills training, so they can add value to themselves, get jobs, and become self-reliant.
Currently, we partner with various training centres and individuals to train people in various disciplines and handiworks. While we appreciate this partnership, training several individuals takes a lot of money. Just like our goal is to raise self-reliant individuals, we as an organisation would also want to get to such a level that, we reduce our reliance on aid and our partners, and run programs that make us self-reliant to an extent and help us to run activities without having to run to others for aid.
Our skills centre which we are building in Koforidua is a testament to our goal and vision of sustainable aid. Our plan is to set up a campus equipped with dormitories, classrooms, an ultra-modern, administration complex, a chapel, recreational facilities, and various skill training locations.
We have currently secured a parcel of land at Koforidua in the eastern region of Ghana and are working towards achieving this goal. This is our current flagship project and we are looking for partners and assistance to help with the completion of this project so we can touch more lives and make an even greater impact.
